Today's daily challenge

Four games run on deterministic seeded content. Play today's seed, then send the challenge link to a mate — same slabs, same market, same suspects, same siege. May the tightest arse win.

Pick your game

Every game runs entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no accounts. Scores you choose to log go on the public leaderboard below, under whatever handle you pick. (Yes, actually free — we asked the mods. They're asleep.)

Deal or Dud

Fifteen deals parade past. You vote BARGAIN or NEG. Then the community's real verdict drops — including the legendary $1.40 McFlurry deal's 1,696 votes. Can you read the room — or will the room neg you?

Price Error Hunter

Sixty seconds on the clock. A card flashes a price and its RRP — legendary glitch like the $249.01 Alienware, or legit deal? Spot the errors, chain the streaks, and never pay RRP again.

Neg Dodger

Steer your shopping cart. Catch falling BARGAINs, dodge the NEGs. Three lives, rising speed, and a rank at the end — from Lurker to Certified Professional. The negs are falling and they are furious.

Mod Simulator

You are the mod. Twelve dodgy deals hit your queue: referral-link sneakiness, blatant dupes, sockpuppet energy, one genuinely great deal. Wield APPROVE, NEG and LOCK like you were born in the penalty box — then see what the real mods did.

Take the gavel
5 Survival

The OzBargain Effect

A retailer's server. Your clicks are its only hope. Traffic waves slam in — front-page frenzies, freebie stampedes — and you buy servers and CDN to keep the poor thing alive. The merchant guide warned them. They didn't listen. Survive as long as you can.

Negger

You are the room's immune system. Listings stream in — referral-link sneakiness, RRP theatre, yesterday's dupes, and the occasional genuine legend. Neg the duds, spare the bargains. A wrongful neg costs you 50 pts and your dignity.

Stack the Deal

A crane swings discount slabs — gift cards, coupons, cashback, the rare 20% price error. Time your drop: overhang gets sliced, dead-centre drops snap and combo. One clean miss and the tower is landfill. Stacking isn't a hobby — it's a tax strategy.

Eneloop Exchange

A trading day on the ENLP index. The market is seeded by today's date — every player trades the same candles, the same shocks, the same 4AM price fix. Buy the dips, beat buy-and-hold, don't become a bag holder.

9 Forensics

Sockpuppet Sniffer

Ten accounts under review, three forensic charts each — vote bursts, comment similarity, age vs activity. Flag the sockpuppets, spare the humans, and get scored like a real classifier: precision, recall, F1.

Verified lore

Why "Bargainlore"?

In 2012, a Harvey Norman Boxing Day listing glitch put an $800 Asus tablet up for $122. Hundreds of bargain hunters pounced before the 4 am fix. One retail boss's verdict: "It was the work of professionals, not everyday consumers." The community has worn "professionals" as an ironic badge of honour ever since — and this arcade is built from two decades of that bargain lore.
