The OzBargain Effect
A retailer's server. Your clicks are its only hope. Traffic waves slam in — front-page frenzies, freebie stampedes, and real DDoS attacks from the site's actual history (waves tagged 📜 true story) — and you buy servers and CDN to keep the poor thing alive. Score = seconds survived + deals served.
Server status: online
The merchant guide warns retailers to "make sure your website is able to handle an increase in traffic from OzBargain users." This one didn't listen. That's where you come in.
Add server (+60 req/s capacity, $40, max 12) · Deploy CDN (halves traffic for 10s, $70, 20s cooldown) · ⚡ Overdrive (150% output 8s, costs 10 health) · Maintain ($60 clears server heat).
Bargain bucks accrue over time; surviving a wave pays $50. Servers run hot (−3% efficiency per wave) — maintain them. If traffic exceeds capacity, the server melts.
